Black Girls Must Die Exhausted by Jayne Allen-A Book Review

I absolutely loved this book and the story that it told. I loved the characters and how the interacted, as well as the issues the author was brave enough to write about. Let's dive in.

Tabitha is a woman who is ready to settle down and she thinks she's met the perfect guy to do so with. She has a wonderful career, but wonders if she will be passed over for the promotion that she deserves.

This book took me through several emotions.

Tabitha has a wonderful relationship with her grandmother, who is the brains behind the title of the book, a title that initially took me by surprise, however I am so happy that I didn't judge the book by its title!

This book made me think about how intersectionality truly works, how one person's issue doesn't negate anothers. We as human beings experience so many issues due to lack of simple compassion and the compassion that Tabitha and her grandmother had for each other was absolutely beautiful.

I loved this book. Check out what else I have to say about it here.

Convined that it's a good book! Grab your own copy here!
