My First Impressions of And They Lived Happily Ever After by Therese Beharrie
Check out my first impressions of this book
This book jumped into my arms when I was minding my own business before a facial a few weekends ago and I hadn’t heard of it before that day. The cover was so beautiful with its dark blue background and the two Black people checking each other out on the cover. When I read that the author was from South Africa and that this book was a little out of the ordinary, I knew it was coming home with me.
I love books that explore the depth of our dreams and in this one, Gaia, our main character, dreams about everything that she reads.
I am loving this book and therein is part of my problem. I truly want to branch out to other genres of books, however I keep finding more and more romance novels to read, as well as those that I’d like to share past reviews of. I long to dabble in horror, science fiction, self-help, and even fantasy, but these romance novels are taking over!
This book is a unique take on dreams, family relationships, and society in general. At this moment, I’m loving this book and I wonder if the Gaia and Jacob will make this thing official or not. How will this one end?
You’ll have to find out for yourself here and I highly encourage you to do just that.
