The Black Romance Lovers’ Gift Guide

You know I have far more than five books to share on this list, but I thought I'd do my part to get you started. When it comes to Black love, our authors do a beautiful job with laying out a beautiful story for us to savor. I have a few that I highly recommend for gifts for this holiday season and beyond.

I love reading books that are long forgotten by most because I feel like they are absolutely timeless. They give you ideas for dates and witty comebacks to use on your partner. A Princess in Theory is by no means a new book, but is a unique take on finding love again and I've read in multiple times. It's hilarious and gives a nod to our ancestors and the importance of family. I like to do my part to ensure that books by Black authors have the chance to become classics and one of the ways that I do this is by recommending them to you.

If you're going to read one, you may as well read them all; don't leave your book lover hanging by simply grabbing one of these books. Farrah Rochon did an amazing job penning The Boyfriend Project, The Dating Playbook, and the Hookup Plan. Each of these books is amazing in their own way and I thoroughly enjoyed each of them. I'll tell you which one was my favorite in this video!

The last book I recommend is Seven Days in June by Tia Williams, a book that I'll never forget. This book was so beautifully written that I've never been able to forget it. It follows two amazing people with a hard past that came together for seven days in June and are reconnected later, both as established authors. I adore this book and I know you will, too.
