The Black Business Owners' Playlist

If I'm honest, this is the first year that I have worked through fear and really focused on my business. I take time to attend business workshops, I hired an amazing PR company, and I am consistent with the budding Youtube channel that is taking my company to the next level. I even began calling my business a company, which terrifies, yet inspires me. As I sit and type this blog entry, I am listening to "askfirmations" that relate to my business' success and I am proud to say that I recorded them myself.

I am still a work in progress when it comes to the confidence I aspire to have when it comes to business, but looking back on how I operated in the previous years, I can confidently say that I have come a long way.

These books have given me so much to think about. Check out some of my favorite quotes from them!

As I alluded to earlier, mindset shifts have made a big difference in how I regard myself as a business owner. One of the best ways to get a shift in mindset, in addition to working with the subconscious, is to watch what you're taking in. Who are you listening to? It makes a big difference when I see a person that looks like me succeeding in the business sector. It's important to be intentional about what you are taking in as you grow in your business.

There are so many amazing books about business by Black authors and I have grouped several of them in this list. You may recognize some of them, such as We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers, a book that inspired me to raise my prices. Think and Grow Rich: A Black Choice is an absolute gem when it comes to getting the inspiration you need in order to keep going as a business owner.

Grab a few of these books on this playlist and allow your mindset to expand to new heights. You deserve to have a business that not only brings about peace of mind, but to also have a peaceful business journey as you are building. Reading these books and sharing them with others will definitely help with all of that.
