We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers - A Book Review

I did it! I finished a non-fiction book this summer! This book really opened my mind to different ways of thinking about money and business! Check out the other books I plan to read this month right here.

The book We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad that I read it. It is all about doing business in a smart way and ensuring that you are doing yourself justice in your business.

If you have issues with raising your prices or negotiating deals with your employees, this is the book for you. Whether you are a new or seasoned business owner, Rachel Rodgers has many gems that will benefit you and maybe even change your mind about how you do business. She talks about setting boundaries and having contracts in place that will benefit all parties. Using funny anecdotes and relateable examples, this author does an amazing job illustrating how to show up for yourself and your business.

One of the stories that stood out to me was how the author was excluded from a Mastermind group due to racism. This woman is successful attourney and business owner was told that there was no space, when in fact the leader of the group lied to keep her excluded.

How many times have we either heard about or experienced things like this first hand? Yes, it is completely unfair, but it also inspires me to continue to create safe spaces for us to thrive. These safe spaces can be cultivated with what we have now and books like these can be used as a rulebook on how to not only get ahead, but also assist others to do the same. Those that attempt to gatekeep in this way are operating from a place of lack and will not succeed, though they may think that what they are doing is brilliant.

I was left so inspired and cleansed after reading this book. In the beginning, I thought it would be out of my league; you see, I am still a beginner when it comes to business and I always feel that I have so much to learn. This book taught me that no matter one's current position, one deserves to thrive in business.

I can't recommend this book enough and I can't wait to celebrate it in the near future at an Epic Book Chat. Grab your own copy right here!
